About

Dr. Maria Bajwa is a physician, researcher, and expert in healthcare simulation, technology integration, and AI in healthcare education (HPEd). She is a founding member of the AI-Simulation Healthcare Collaborative, an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the MGH Institute of Health Professions (IHP), and a lead faculty for AI research at the REBEL Lab, MGH-IHP. Her research spans faculty development for distance simulation and AI applications in healthcare training.
Dr. Bajwa received a research award for virtual and distance simulation, and one of her articles, which she co-authored with Dr. Rami Ahmed, was honored with the "Article of the Year 2024" award. She also serves as an adjunct faculty at SUNY Upstate Medical and Nova Southeastern University and is an editor for the Cureus Journal of Computer Science.
