About

Prof. Yucong (Henry) Duan, PhD, is Chair of the World Academy for Artificial Consciousness and Chair of the DIKWP Research Group. His work focuses on artificial intelligence, artificial consciousness, semantic AI, DIKWP cognitive modeling, and human-answerable AI systems. He has developed the DIKWP framework, extending the classical Data–Information–Knowledge–Wisdom model by adding Purpose as a key layer for understanding cognition, decision-making, alignment, and responsible intelligent systems. His recent work explores white-box auditable AI runtimes, organizational AI control planes, semantic governance, and evaluation frameworks for AI-generated and AI-augmented knowledge. He is particularly interested in how AI systems can support research, healthcare, education, governance, and organizational decision-making while preserving integrity, accountability, human agency, and traceability. As Associate Editor, he hopes to contribute to rigorous evaluation standards, transparent review practices, and responsible editorial policies for AI-augmented research.
