Dr. Funde's academic journey began with a Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India. Building upon his educational foundation, he has accumulated valuable experience in various academic and research positions.
Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence (DoAI) at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, Gujarat, India, Dr. Funde plays a pivotal role in shaping the minds of future technologists. Prior to his current role, he served as a Post-doc Researcher at Soongsil University, Seoul, South Korea.
Dr. Funde's academic journey also includes appointments at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar, and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT-AP) University, Amaravathi, Andhra Pradesh.
His research interests span across various domains including Data Science, Machine Learning, Optimization, Smart Grids, Sustainable Cities, and Cyber-Physical Systems. Utilizing time series data mining, machine learning, and optimization techniques, Dr. Funde actively contributes to cutting-edge research in these areas. Moreover, he is eager to mentor and guide highly motivated Ph.D. candidates in his research group at SVNIT, Surat, demonstrating his commitment to fostering the next generation of researchers.
