About
Dr. Teh is an accomplished Associate Professor in Electrical Power System at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang. With a career spanning over a decade in academia, he has demonstrated expertise and leadership in his field. Prior to his current position, he served as a Senior Lecturer and Contract Fellow at USM.
Dr. Teh has also established international collaborations, serving as an Adjunct Professor at National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan, and National Taipei University of Technology, Taiwan. His international exposure extends to The University of Manchester, UK, where he completed his PhD in electrical and electronic engineering. His doctoral research focused on the dynamic thermal rating system of transmission lines, fully funded by a prestigious USM Scholarship.
His academic journey began at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Malaysia, where he graduated with a First Class B.Eng (Hons) in electrical and electronics engineering. Notably, his outstanding academic performance earned him the "most marketable final year project award" and substantial funding from Yayasan Tenaga Nasional (YTN).
Dr. Teh is recognized as a Chartered Engineer by the Engineering Council, UK, and holds Professional Engineer and Professional Technologist credentials from the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM) and Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT) respectively. He is also a Senior Member of the Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE) in the US and a Member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), UK. Additionally, he is a certified HRD Trainer, reflecting his commitment to professional development and training.
With a diverse academic background, extensive international experience, and professional affiliations, Dr.Teh continues to make significant contributions to the field of Electrical Power System both in academia and industry.
