Dr. Prof. Iza Gigauri is a Full Professor and Head of the Administrative Sciences Research Center, School of Business and Administrative Studies, The University of Georgia.
She received her Ph.D. in Business Administration (Summa Cum Laude) from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgia. She holds an MBA from Business School Netherlands and an MBA (with highest honor) from American University for Humanities Tbilisi Campus (Georgia). She is a graduate of Ilia State University in Georgia (with highest honor) and Ruhr-University Bochum in Germany (with highest honor).
Prof. Gigauri has been delivering lectures and teaching seminars at all three levels of higher education for over 12 years. She is an expert, opponent, and supervisor of doctoral dissertations and Master’s theses. She won a number of international scholarships and awards in the field of her academic specialization.
Her research interests include corporate social responsibility, marketing, sustainability, entrepreneurship, human resource management, and leadership.
She has participated in
numerous international scientific conferences and has published over 80 peer-reviewed papers, books and book chapters. She is a scientific committee member and keynote speaker at academic conferences, a guest editor, an editorial board member and a reviewer at international journals of prestigious scientific publishers.
In 2024, she received an Award from the Georgian Government for Contribution to the Development of Science.
