Dr. M. Somaiah Chowdary is a dedicated professional with expertise in machine design, particularly in the areas of composites, nanomaterials, and polymer composites. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology since June 2015 and as a Post Doc fellow at IIT Guwahati, Dr. Chowdary brings a wealth of experience to academia.
Prior to his current position, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Usha Rama Engineering College from June 2014 to June 2015. Additionally, Dr. Chowdary has served as an Assistant Controller of Examinations at PVP Siddhartha Institute of Technology since December 2018, demonstrating his aptitude for administrative responsibilities.
Dr. Chowdary's technical skills are impressive, with proficiency in software such as Matlab, CAD, and ANSYS, as well as programming languages including C and Java. He has taught a wide range of subjects related to machine design, finite element methods, mechanics of solids, robotics, composite materials, and more.
With a focus on research, Dr. Chowdary has published and presented 11 papers in SCI and Scopus-indexed journals to date. His commitment to advancing knowledge in his field, coupled with his expertise in teaching and administration, makes him a valuable asset to the academic community.
