Dr. Mohammad Adil Dar is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Birla Institute of Technology & Science Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, India. Prior to this, he worked as an MSCA Fellow in Steel Structures at the University of Sheffield, UK, and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore. He earned his Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD), India. He has over a decade of research experience specializing in thin-walled structures, cold-formed steel structures, high-performance steel structures, lightweight cold-formed steel composite systems, and the rehabilitation of distressed steel structures. He is Fellow of the Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) of the American Society of Structural Engineers (ASCE). He serving on three of their technical committees: Cold-Formed Steel Members Committee, Stainless Steel Cold-Formed Sections Standards Committee, and Structural Members Committee. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in India. He has received several prestigious awards, including the MSCA Fellowship from the European Commission, Ramanujan Fellowship from the Science & Engineering Research Board (India), Distinction in Doctoral Thesis Award from IIT Delhi, and Promising Young Structural Engineer Award from the Indian Association of Structural Engineers.
