Dr. Rajendran Chinnasamy currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology. He has published more than 60 articles in reputed international peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include solid-state welding, fusion welding, composite materials, additive manufacturing (3D printing), tribology, corrosion, and bonding processes. He has made significant contributions to the academic community by reviewing more than 300 research papers for various international journals. He has also translated an AICTE-prescribed textbook, Materials Science and Engineering, into the local language. In addition, he has been involved in a major research project sponsored by DRDO, contributing to its successful completion. His research has received over 1,135 citations, with an h-index of 20 and an i10-index of 31, reflecting the impact of his scholarly contributions.
