Prof. Boualem Benatallah is a distinguished computer scientist, currently serving as a full professor in the School of Computing at Dublin City University (DCU), Ireland, a position he has held since January 2022. An IEEE Fellow with over 25 years of international research experience—including a renowned tenure as Scientia Professor at UNSW Sydney—his prolific work spans foundational advances in service-oriented middleware, business process automation, AI‑augmented and conversational cognitive services, quality control in crowdsourcing, and automated data curation. With more than 300 peer-reviewed publications (100+ journal articles), over 23,000 citations (h-index ≈ 66), and a history of securing major ARC and EU research grants, he has chaired and contributed to premier conferences like BPM and ICSOC, served on editorial boards of ACM and IEEE journals, and supervised 30+ PhDs.
