About
Dr. Zhang is currently a Professor at the School of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China. Prior to his appointment at HUST in Dec. 2021, he served as an Assistant Professor at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, starting from Dec. 2017. He obtained his Bachelor, Master, and Doctor degrees from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China, in 2009, 2012, and 2014, respectively. Dr. Zhang’s principal research area involves Construction Informatics, Risk Analysis, Urban Resilience, and Tunnel Construction Safety. Dr. Zhang has rich research and teaching experience and has completed many collaborative projects with industrial partners, with more than 250 SCI-indexed papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He has been listed in Stanford University’s “Top 2% of Global Scientists” and Elsevier Chinese Highly Cited Scholars. He is an editorial board member of Automation in Construction, and a reviewer for many international journals.
