Dr Daniel Karapetyan received his PhD in Computer Science from Royal Holloway, University of London, UK. Since 2020, he has been an Assistant Professor of computer science at the University of Nottingham. His main expertise is in algorithm design for decision support, with a particular interest in optimisation and artificial intelligence tools, including machine learning and large language models, applied to real-world problems. His projects included passenger ferry scheduling and fleet size planning, TV advertisement scheduling, satellite downlink scheduling, airport predeparture sequencing, and hybrid-electric aircraft operations modelling, among others.
