About

Amin Nikkhah is a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Agriculture, Food, and Environment at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University, Boston, United States. Amin has two PhDs, one from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (FUM), and he was awarded his second PhD by the department of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University, Belgium in 2021. Amin has contributed to the development of sustainable biotechnology projects across three continents: Europe (Belgium), Asia (South Korea), and North America (USA). He has published more than 45 scientific papers in some high impact journals, such as Nature Reviews Materials (IF=80), Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews (IF=16), and Science of the Total Environment (Impact factor=10). His research has been cited over 1,500 times and has an h-index of 25 and i10-index of 34. His current research focuses on the evaluation and optimization of bioprocesses using AI-driven modeling, integrated with techno-economic analysis (TEA), and life cycle assessment (LCA), to enhance their sustainability and promote a circular economy.
