About
Dr. Nyong Princely Awazi serves as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Forestry and Wildlife Technology, College of Technology (COLTECH), The University of Bamenda, Cameroon. He holds a PhD in Agroforestry and Valuation of Ecosystem Services from the University of Dschang, Cameroon. Since 2014, he has been involved in research and consultancy on the cross-cutting themes of agroforestry, forestry, ecotourism, the bioeconomy, climate change mitigation and adaptation, vulnerability and resilience to climate change, natural resources management, and biodiversity conservation. He has consultancy experience across several countries in Africa, South America, the Caribbean, Asia, and North America. He has (co)authored over 140 publications (72 peer reviewed articles, over 30 conference papers and posters, and over 50 book chapters) in journals and books published by reputable publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, Taylor and Francis, MDPI, Wiley, and others. He equally serves as a reviewer and to date, he has reviewed over 650 manuscripts for journals of international repute. From January 2023 till present, he is serving as Climate Change Consultant for FOKABS Canada. He is equally a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the EU funded TC4BE project coordinated by Wageningen University and Research – the Netherlands.
