Dr. Alassan Assani Seidou is an Assistant Professor of Animal Production at the University of Parakou (Benin) with over 10 years of experience in livestock systems research, teaching, and international consultancy. Specialized in ruminant nutrition, climate-smart livestock systems, rangeland management, and agro-sylvo-pastoral systems in West Africa. Experienced principal investigator and co-investigator on large international projects funded by the European Union, African Union, VLIR-UOS, DAAD, AAS-ARISE, and other partners, with a strong track record in applied research translating science into decision-support tools and policy-relevant outcomes. Author of numerous peer-reviewed publications and reviewer for international journals, with proven expertise in livestock system modeling, stakeholder-based research, and capacity building for farmers, students, and development actors in dryland and sub-humid regions.
