Dr. Nurcan Kilinc-Ata is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics and Finance at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), Oman. She is also a Senior Research Fellow at the Research Laboratory for S&T Studies at the National Research University Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia, and a Research Fellow at the Economic Research Forum (ERF). Her research spans energy, mineral, and environmental economics.
Dr. Kilinc-Ata’s current work focuses on enhancing resource use for energy transition technologies, identifying decarbonization drivers and challenges, including public perceptions, and assessing the role of policies in shaping market outcomes. She has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles in Scopus-indexed journals, including Renewable Energy, Energy Policy, Energy Economics, and Environmental Science and Pollution Research, advancing the application of economic modeling to address challenges in clean energy transitions and market efficiency.
In addition to her academic contributions, Dr. Kilinc-Ata actively seeks to build partnerships with industry and non-industry stakeholders, bridging the gap between research, policy, and practical decision-making.
