Prof. Dericks Praise Shukla is the founding Chairperson and Professor at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Mandi. He has been associated with IIT Mandi since 2015. Prior to joining the institute as an Assistant Professor, he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology at University of Delhi and at Ram Lal Anand College from August 2011 to January 2015.
He earned his Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and GIS from the University of Delhi in 2012. Earlier, he completed his Bachelor of Science degree in 2002 from Ewing Christian College, affiliated with the University of Allahabad, and obtained his postgraduate degree in Remote Sensing and GIS in 2004 from Jiwaji University.
