Dr. David Guerrero is a researcher at Université Gustave Eiffel (France), specializing in transport geography, maritime transport, ports, logistics, and global supply chains. He received his Ph.D. in Geography from Université Paris Diderot and has been conducting research on freight transport systems, maritime connectivity, containerization, and intermodality since 2011.
His work examines the interactions between transportation networks, port systems, supply chains, and economic territories, with particular attention to maritime transport, logistics strategies, and connectivity in both developed and developing regions. He has published extensively in leading international journals, including Journal of Transport Geography, Transport Policy, Maritime Policy & Management, and Maritime Economics & Logistics.
Dr. Guerrero has led and participated in numerous research projects funded by public institutions and industry partners and has acted as a consultant for organizations such as UNCTAD, IMO, and AFD. He has held visiting professorships in Japan and regularly teaches in international graduate programs. He currently serves on the editorial boards of scholarly journals and has guest-edited several special issues in transportation and logistics research.
