Prof. Popoola Omoniyi Michael is a Professor of Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology and an accomplished researcher specializing in fish genetics, aquaculture biotechnology, fish health, environmental toxicology, and sustainable aquaculture production. He has extensive experience in university teaching, postgraduate supervision, research, academic administration, consultancy, and scientific peer review. His research focuses on fish population genetics, molecular characterization, biofloc technology, fish nutrition and immunology, gene expression, environmental stress, and the application of plant-based and biotechnological approaches to improve aquaculture productivity and sustainability.
