Dr. Abhishek Raj is working as an Assistant Professor at the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay College of Horticulture & Forestry, Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, India. He is the author or co-author of more than 20 scientific papers, 08 books, 60 book chapters, and several extension articles with an H-index ~35. He acquired his B.Sc. (forestry) from SHUATS, Allahabad (UP) and M.Sc. and PhD. (both in forestry) degrees from Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (Chhattisgarh) India. He has qualified ICAR-NET (national eligibility test) in agro- forestry and received Young Scientist Award in 2016. He worked extensively across the country on various research aspects related to scientific techniques of babul (Acacia nilotica) gum exudation and the influence of climatic factors on the exudation process. His other areas of research expertise include biomass estimation, carbon sequestration, productivity assessment, soil properties, non-timber forest products, forest ecology, and agroforestry. He is a member of many scientific journals and societies.
