Dr. Abdul Razak is a faculty member at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, and currently serves as In-charge of the EDII Goa and Hyderabad Centres. He has extensive experience in entrepreneurship development, business incubation, startup ecosystems, finance, and academic research. Prior to joining EDII, he served as Assistant Professor – Senior Grade at VIT Business School, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), and at the School of Business, SR University.

Dr. Razak has also served as an Associate Professor at Siddhartha Institute of Technology and Sciences (SITS) and as a faculty member at the Central University of Karnataka. His professional experience extends beyond academia, having worked with reputed organizations. With broad international exposure, Dr. Razak has travelled extensively for academic and professional engagements across the United States of America, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Malaysia, and Thailand. His diverse professional experience has provided him with valuable exposure to entrepreneurship, investment, corporate strategy, business development, and interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, and senior executives.

Dr. Razak holds a bachelor's degree in business management from Kakatiya University, where he was a University Rank Holder. He subsequently completed his MBA in Finance from an affiliated college of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, as the top-performing student. He earned his Doctorate in Business Management from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and was awarded an ICSSR Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship for his post-doctoral research.

He is qualified in UGC-NET and UGC-APSET and has also qualified MAN-JRF and SRF. He holds postgraduate diplomas in Cyber Law, Taxation and Insurance Law, and Intellectual Property Rights. His academic and research interests encompass Entrepreneurship – Theory and Practice, Finance for Startups, New Venture Creation, Managing Finance and Liquidity, Business Incubation, Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Entrepreneurship Development.

Dr. Razak’s academic, professional, and research experience reflects a strong interdisciplinary understanding of entrepreneurship, finance, business development, and ecosystem building. His work focuses on bridging academic knowledge with practical entrepreneurial applications and contributing to the development of sustainable startup and MSME ecosystems.
