Dr. Urmila Shrawankar is an accomplished academician with a robust educational background and extensive work experience in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. She obtained her Ph.D. degree from SGB Amravati University, India, and her M.Tech. degree from RTM Nagpur University, India.
Dr. Shrawankar's areas of expertise span a wide range of subjects, including High-Performance Computing, Advanced Operating Systems, Distributed and Parallel Computing, Cloud Computing, Real-Time Computing, Algorithms, and Assistive Technology. Currently, Dr. Urmila serves as the Director and Professor at the School of Computer Science & Engineering, Ramdeobaba University (RBU), Nagpur, India. Her exceptional contributions to education have been recognized through various awards, including the Best Teacher Award, two Best M.Tech Thesis awards, and four Best Paper awards.
She has made significant contributions to academia through her prolific publication record, which includes two authored books, four edited books, 24 book chapters, and approximately 200 research papers in esteemed international journals and conferences. Furthermore, Dr. Shrawankar holds several patents and copyrights, showcasing her innovative research contributions. Her leadership and administrative skills are evident through her coordination of various programs and committees, including the successful coordination of Smart India Hackathon SIH-2019 organized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Dr. Urmila has also played a crucial role in guiding numerous undergraduate and postgraduate project groups, as well as Ph.D. research scholars.
